Mesh Painter runtime

Hi, I would like to ask whether the Mesh Painter can also be used at runtime and not only in the editor? Also when painting onto another mesh how is the added "painting" being saved, is it added to the texture file overwriting the original or is a copy of the texture made retaining the original?


Hi there, MeshPainter was designed to run in the editor and won't work during runtime. I would like to see this happen though. How it works is it creates a new surface mesh to paint on that is an overlay to the original mesh. It won't overwrite or alter the original textures of the mesh and can be removed with a single click.
